Fly fans have been asking for a sky flypaper set and we’ve joked about doing a sky overlays pack for several years, but then Photoshop’s new sky replacement panel came out, and we thought the time was right, so, over the last several months we have been snapping day-time and night-time sky’s with this as our goal. We’ve seen other peoples sky sets recently but not found any which include portrait orientated skies like ours has, so we’ve brought something a little bit different with our overlays.
We’ve also tried not to over-process our images so you’ll still have the option to push your processing boundaries yourselves.
Also, keeping up with modern photographic trends, you’ll be pleased, no doubt to see that most of our skies smallest side are 5000 pixels, the longest being a whopping 7500 pixels. It’s the biggest we could go without your download times getting too long. Finally, if these prove to be popular then we will happily bring out more sets, so with this in mind, all sets are numbered to avoid future confusion. Here we have launched with four differing celestial subjects to help in your overlay search.
Why replace a sky? It could be boring, blown out, hard to texture or maybe you just want to add some drama.
Our skies can be used in the wonderful automated Photoshop Sky replacement tool (PS 2021 onwards) or in Skylum Luminar sky replacement tool. You could of course replace skies manually if you so desire.
You can find a basic tutorial on how to replace skies in Photoshop here and we’ve included these instructions in PDF form with each pack, feel free to print it out for reference.

Blue Skies
With this ‘happy little cloud’ Blue skies pack we help you sort out your negative spaced, boring skies, adding interest and form, pulling your daytime landscapes together. Included in this pack are many portrait oriented skies for our graphic fans and book cover photographers, who aren’t usually catered for, but we personally love! There are 87 glorious blue skies in the Blue Skies pack.
Golden Hour Skies
Lovely soft warm toned skies are the perfect backdrop to your end of days out, enhancing parties, BBQ’s even weddings for that magical evening touch! Bring grey days to life by adding a lovely warm toned sky, adjust your images colour to suit and

Moody Skies
Our new Moody sky pack can help add atmosphere to your skies, many a photograph is spoilt by ‘White-Out’ skies, these moody skies sort out your boring whites with a moody backdrop. Even sunny autumnal images can benefit, for instance, take leaf peak golden leafed trees on a blue sky. By simply switching to a stormy grey sky your bright golden leaves will zing, same with fruit tree blossoms, a grey sky can add drama and really bring them to life! There are 50 moody skies in the pack.
Night Skies
For this pack we spent many a night out, we suffered mosquito bites and the cold so you don’t have to!
Here we have Stars, Moons and even the odd Aurora, evenings and nights, the milky way, shooting stars and satellite trails, its all here for your moody night time images. Other night sky uses include adding stars and moons to your Golden Hour and Blue-Sky edited images. The creative possibilities with night skies are endless! There are 50 Night Skies in the Pack.
