Finally, after a summer spent slaving over a hot printing bench, we are now ready to launch this totally new concept pack of OrganicGradients!
We’d been thinking of doing this kind of pack for many years but couldn’t think of how to get a nice smooth result? Then finally we hit upon the idea of merging fine printing inks with a large roller or brayer, and printing off from large Lino blocks onto thin cards and then scanning.
After we had made hundreds of printed copies we paired it down to this 48 plate pack of whopping sized overly/textures.
The beauty of our new Flypaper Organic Gradient textures over traditional gradients, as well as the added organic textures is that you won’t suffer from nasty digital banding effects anymore!
Possible uses include backgrounds for studio shots, although around half do have textures they can easily be smoothed using gaussian blur if necessary.
Used in graphics and as colour texture overlays you can transform dull white-out skies in an instant or add moody sunset colours or use as modern two toned backgrounds in studio portrait shots to add depth, colour and interest.
Other uses are, adding light streak effects and using polarised images to get a surreal Man Ray effect!
This pack contains 48 Organic Gradient textures, in both landscape and portrait format. Their size is at a minimum of 7000 by 5000 px and are at industry printing standard in 300ppi. All our textures can be used in any editing program that supports the use of layers, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Gimp etc You can also use our textures on your iPad, Android and smartphone if you have a suitable app installed. You can only use them in Lightroom if you use an add-on that allows Lightroom to use layers such as Perfect Layers
