We’re very sorry we’ve been so quiet here of late, life has a way of getting in the way of photography and texturing. Flypaper is however very much alive and well and we are in fact working on a lovely new pack right now so watch this space!
Welcome to our very first encaustic wax worked texture set! We noticed how popular waxing photographic prints had become some time ago and made a note to ourselves to do something along those lines, then this year the right time finally came about and we kitted ourselves up with loads of natural beeswax, natural pigment powders, bookbinding irons and blow guns, heated trays and bain maries, quite a job just to get kitted out! Then came the fun bit, hot and smelly but surprisingly enjoyable once all the windows were opened!
Our new first pack of the year the Fly Muse 20 pack of textures has been created to satisfy a demand for fans who have requested we bring out a smaller, cheaper pack who don’t want to spend as much $40 on a pack but still want our normal pro-sized textures.
This could be the start of a whole new sized texture pack series, depending on how popular they are with our fans, so feedback would be appreciated!
Need to add authentic age to Steampunk imagery or attain a fantasy Alice in Wonderland photographic look?
Did you yearn for a natural large plate format photographic feel?
Have you ever wanted natural un-contrived edges that are not the everyday humdrum TTV retro, but something a little bit special?
Then this is the product for you!:-)
Nurtured through an el Nino’s stormy season, the wettest spring or autumn, depending on your hemisphere, in over 100 years and having a swirly, misty, almost tonal feel, we quickly fell upon the Tempest name for this set.
We’ve had a crazy time crackle glazing this summer and here with the autumnal fruits of our labours we’d like to present a first ever Fine Cracks Pack!
This set was made following on from our Distressed Painterly set, a natural progression to more or less round off where we started, we wanted much finer, smaller sized cracks in this set plus several PNG transparent overlay versions so this has fewer plates but with the mixed Jpg and much larger PNG files it adds up to just as many megs.
After many weeks slaving in the kitchen we finally have this summers new Pastel Painterly Textures in the bag to Launch!
Their titles theme is possibly everybody’s favourite, herbs, spices and food, including edible flowers!
Welcome to the launch of our first Textures pack in almost 10 months! This time the theme is Paper with Painterly; brush strokes that we thought looked like seascapes thus the names of oceans from around the globe were used to describe them. Our Painterly textures...
Another addition to my collection of pear photos. They’re such photogenic fruit and especially this variety with its elongated shape, a Beurre Bosc in fact. The photo was taken with the lensbaby edge 80, a wonderful lens I must add! Perfect for still-lifes like this one and lensbaby shots have a natural affinity to textures.
Its like Christmas even in high summer when you come across an old image that’s worth processing!
Happened to me here whilst going through old external hard drives. I shot this back in the winter of 2008/9, whilst exploring our local ancient graveyard in Beziers City center after first moving here from a nearby village.
